Out of the Darkness-wonderful short read
Out of the Darkness was a unique shifter romance for a short read like this. I felt the plot was extremely well developed, but not rushed. The beginning of the book really gave you an insight into Tara's mind and how lost she really is. Tara's mixed up, she knows she's not normal, but she doesn't expect to become a panther. Chay is a panther shifter, and a teacher/protector for Tara. I enjoyed how the relationship between Tara and Chay develop, it's not really insta-love, but more friendship and trust blooming. Course, the sex scenes are hot, 18+ definitely. The questions and ideas definitely rack up as you read this book, it leaves you wanting more and waiting for the next in the series. This is the first book I've read from V.M. Black and I'm thoroughly impressed, I'll definitely have to pick up more of her books.
